Phil Rossner

Avinash (aka Phil Rossner) has been a Buddhist meditation practitioner and teacher for the past 35 years. His ‘root’ teacher was the late Vietnamese Meditation & Mindfulness Master Thich Nhat Hanh, (Thây) with whom Avinash attended retreats with in both the U.S.A. and Plum Village in France, where Thây resided for most of his life. Over the years Avinash started and facilitated two meditation groups – Mill Hill Mindfulness Centre and Sooke Meditation & Mindfulness, both on Vancouver Island. Both these groups were affiliated with the local Chùa Pháp Hoa Vietnamese Buddhist Temple in Victoria, BC. As a video producer/editor, he has conducted many interviews for his series In Our Midst, as well as for Meditation Magazine. His 5-part series entitled Full On Living, aptly conveys proven meditation techniques for effectively dealing with depression and anxiety. Avinash is also a devotee of his Satguru, Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma). He presently lives in Volcancito, Panama with his wife and kitty-cat.
